PRO-AM Racing Deliver a Dream Double at Croft

It was a weekend to remember for PRO-AM Racing at Croft, as Richard Jepp secured a sensational double victory in the Mairon Motorsport MINI CHALLENGE Trophy, part of the British Touring Car Championship support package.

The weekend started in the best possible way with a superb qualifying performance. After the team had worked late into the night repairing the car following damage at Donington Park, Jepp went straight back out and delivered. In a hugely competitive 30 minute session, the leading ten drivers all went beneath the previous qualifying lap record, but Jepp went one better, becoming the only driver to break into the 1:38s and securing his maiden pole position.

That set the tone for what followed.

In the opening race, Jepp started from second on the grid and immediately found himself in the middle of a tight fight at the front. After an early safety car, the battle intensified, with Jepp pushing hard for the lead while also defending from the cars behind. He eventually made his move and went on to take his first MINI CHALLENGE Trophy victory, delivering not only a maiden win for himself but also the first win in the championship for PRO-AM Racing.

Sunday brought even more success.

Starting from pole on a drying Croft circuit, Jepp made a strong getaway and controlled the race from the front. With pressure building behind, he kept his composure and brought the car home for a second win of the weekend, completing a brilliant Croft double for both driver and team.

For PRO-AM Racing, the result was about more than just two trophies. It was the reward for the work behind the scenes, the resilience shown after Donington Park, and the ability to arrive at Croft and immediately perform at the sharp end of the field.
